The Hammock

The Hammock is an unincorporated area of Flagler County, FL that is know for pristine beaches, an abundance of nature trails and conservation area, world class golf courses, and exclusive gated communities located in a laid back, “Old Florida” setting. The Hammock is ideally situated between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, making it a haven for boaters, golfers, and beach goers alike.

The Hammock gets its name from the shape of the dunes on the beach. These steep  dunes attract sand, provide home and feeding ground for many species, and protect the coastline, providing a barrier from ocean to land.

Since the Hammock is an unincorporated area, it shares a postal zip code with the city of Palm Coast. Communities in The Hammock include Hammock Beach, Yacht Harbor Village, Ocean Hammock, Hammock Dunes, Island Estates and Cinnamon Beach.
